Narus' Technical Manager Obtains New Certification in Coating Inspection for Concrete Structures.

Cofounder and responsible engineer at Narus, Richard Bayer recently participated in a course offered by AMPP (The Association for Materials Protection and Performance), successfully achieving the SSPC Concrete Coating Inspector Level 2 Certification.


This is a globally recognized certification that aims to test and certify individuals in the proper methods of inspecting surface preparation and installation of protective coatings on industrial concrete structures and facilities.


AMPP (The Association for Materials Protection and Performance) is the merger of NACE International and SSPC, which after more than 70 years, have come together to form a global community of professionals dedicated to protecting assets and infrastructure through advancement, control corrosion and protective coatings 


Richard, who has extensive experience in corrosion after having worked in the area for over 40 years, highlights the importance of staying up to date through courses and certifications and states that certifications like this are essential to attest to your experience and the quality of your work.


In addition to this certification, Richard also holds other certifications from the institution, including SSPC PCS - Protective Coating Specialist, QCS - Quality Control Supervisor and SSPC C2 - Specifying and Managing Coating Project.
