The present work presents the technical norms that define the tests required by the technical specifications for the evaluation of repairs in industrial carbon steel ducts and pipes with composite material sleeve, as well as their expected results.

The roof of tank 146001 of Transpetro DT/TA-Baía de Guanabara/RJ located at the Ilha Redonda terminal, used for refrigerated LPG storage, presented severe and generalized external corrosion, with numerous perforations that allowed gas to emanate into the atmosphere. .
